THE AUTHENTIC EDGE WORKSHOP RETURNS
THE AUTHENTIC EDGE WORKSHOP RETURNS
The Authentic Edge is a transformational leadership workshop designed for senior executives seeking to transcend performative leadership.
Led by experienced executive coaches Derek Johnston and Tina Collins, PCC, this one-day intensive helps you develop authentic communication skills, build genuine connections, and lead from your true values rather than external expectations.
Participants learn practical tools for staying grounded in difficult conversations, recognize when they're defaulting to inauthentic patterns, and discover how vulnerability can strengthen rather than weaken their leadership presence.
The workshop combines research-based insights with experiential learning in a small-group setting (maximum of 30 participants).
Taking place on October 16th at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Kanata, Ontario, the program includes breakfast, lunch, and all materials. Early bird pricing available.
The July session sold out with participants from nonprofit, public, and private sectors reporting significant shifts in their leadership approach.
What they had to say:
"Authenticity is often more about SUBTRACTING, not adding—letting go of the inner noise, the instinct to perform, and the pressure to always have the answers."
"The powerful shift that happens when we put 'connection' before 'content'—and the reminder that we don't need to be 'on' all the time."
"Being real, especially in our messier moments, is often what makes us most trustworthy."
Big questions.
Brave conversations.
Breakthrough moments.
Our events are where sharp minds gather to challenge the status quo, spark new thinking, and create meaningful momentum.
Whether it’s a live workshop, a virtual lab, or an invite-only strategy session, these experiences are designed to leave you recharged, reconnected, and ready to rethink what’s possible.

The Authentic Edge Workshop
In today's hyper-scrutinized world, there's more pressure on leaders to perform than to be real. Many avoid speaking their minds or showing vulnerability out of fear it'll be seen as weak and unleaderlike.
But here's what we've learned from years of coaching senior leaders: authenticity isn't something you're born with. It's a skill you can build with practice. And when you do, everything changes—how you communicate, how you connect, and how you lead.
What You'll Experience
Deep Reflection
A full day of conversation and reflection with a small group of thoughtful peers who are navigating the same questions you are.
Practical Tools
Leave with usable strategies to help you stay grounded in tough conversations, speak more directly, and notice when you're defaulting to old patterns.
Real Connection
Good food, a supportive space, and the rare experience of learning in community with others who are showing up with openness and honesty.
Personal Insight
A deeper look at what authenticity really means to you—and how it shows up (or doesn't) in your daily interactions.
