After building a seven-figure construction company in seven years and having a long career in social work, I am now using everything I’ve learned to support entrepreneurs in designing their lives and businesses on their own terms. My Story
Long story short: I am a leadership and entrepreneurial coach and a construction entrepreneur based in the Ottawa region, Canada.
My first career was in social work, where I learned the power of communication and being heard, not just by others but also by myself. I realized that it’s crucial to understand and listen to your own voice and value what you hear. That’s why, after more than a decade, I decided to pivot entirely and left to build a construction company.
My strengths lie in my ability to unite and lead diverse tradespeople, helping clients create their dream spaces. It has enabled me to build a seven-figure business that now supports my entire family.
This journey was far from smooth, and it certainly wasn’t straightforward. I faced all the challenges that entrepreneurs typically face:
Imposter Syndrome: That 2 a.m. whisper of “Why would anyone choose me over someone with more experience?”
The Hustle Trap: The belief that if you’re not working constantly, you’re somehow falling behind. (And the guilt that comes with slowing down.)
The In/On Tug-of-War: Delivering the day-to-day while trying to build the big picture, the difference of working in your business vs. on your business
Undervaluing Your Worth: Saying yes to every request, every favour, and every underpriced project just to impress, deliver, and keep revenue flowing.
Entrepreneurial Isolation: You have no boss or team to bounce ideas off of, and all the consequences of being the main decision maker. The mental load is real.
Identity Whiplash: Trying to be everything for everyone instead of boldly owning your lane and standing in your niche.
I have always believed that an outside perspective can help identify my blind spots, so I hired many coaches over the years to guide me through them. When I found the right coach, she helped me unlock a world of potential, if only I would change my perspective. She inspired me to realize that I was also missing a key component in my life—helping others—that I gave up when I left social work. In 2025, I completed the Co-Active Coaching training program and am proud to serve other entrepreneurs, leaders, and individuals seeking to level up. Specifically, I excel at helping these leaders build the confidence and communication skills needed to lead with clarity and impact.
